I-House is offering its Great Decisions discussion series, a program designed by the Foreign Policy Association to advance public understanding of global issues affecting the United States. The 2011 edition will take place at I-House on eight consecutive Wednesday evenings (7-9 pm) from January 26 to March 16, with a separate topic covered each week. Rick Becker, retired U.S. Foreign Service Officer and I-House board member, will lead discussions on the following issues selected for 2011: rebuilding Haiti; U.S. national security, Horn of Africa; responding to the financial crisis; Germany ascendant; sanctions and nonproliferation; the Caucasus; and global governance.
