Hi :-) My name is Lin Weaver. I am the volunteer coordinator for the Friendship Program. I am also a member of the I-House Program Committee. I grew up in Europe in a bilingual, bi-national family, so we spoke Italian and French at home. I grew up in France, Switzerland and studied in the UK. I spent most of my Summers in Italy (which was wonderful!). I came to the US in my early twenties and I lived in Lexington, Massachusetts, for the most part. I came to live in Davis about a year ago. I LOVE Northern California! P.S. Lin is my favorite nickname. But I really have FIVE first names! They are Elena (in Italian, this is pronounced like the British pronounce "Eleanor", but in the US everyone pronounces it like the Spanish do), Maria, Elisabeth, Sonia and Silvia .... so you can see why I like to be called Lin -- so easy! By the way, I hardly ever use all my names at once! Only when I sign official papers! Oh, and yes, I also have a maiden name .... but that discussion is for another time! xxoolin
