2pm International Book Club Meeting: The Complete Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi (cont)
March 26 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Curious about international lit, a seasoned traveler, or an intermediate ESL student looking to build skills? All are welcome at I-House’s new International Book Club, where we’ll deepen our community of cultural exchange through monthly book discussions and events.
Meetings will be held every 3rd Sunday of the month in the Hagan Room at the International House Davis.
(Entrance to the Hagan Room is from I-House’s parking lot)
February choice: Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. It’s a graphic novel about a young girl growing up in Iran under the Islamic Revolution. A caution for those buying or searching for it online, there are two volumes; make sure you search for “The Complete Persepolis.”
This week’s meeting will be a continued discussion about the book and movie.
