5:30pm Ohlone Harvest Dinner

Join us for a very special local feast made with ingredients indigenous to Northern California, crafted by mak-‘amham , a company of two Ohlone (California First Nation) chefs.

mak-‘amham (mahk-am-haam) means our food in the Chochenyo Ohlone language. Chochenyo is the Native language to the Eastern shores of San Francisco Bay.

mak-‘amham will be serving a feast of locally gathered food and native teas. They will showcase and discuss the raw ingredients they gather in their community’s East Bay homeland.

Doors open at 5:30 pm
Meal and program begin at 6:00 pm

$40 for non-members
$35 for members
$30 for students.

Dandelion greens soup

‘uṭṭin • second

Sokoote (bay laurel) crispy duck breast served with berries two ways — first sauce with wild stawberry + bay laurel, second sauce made with blackberry + yerba buena. Accompanied by local laurel-infused mushrooms, toasted pine nuts + popped amaranth.

kaphan • third

Acorn flour brownies with walnuts + sea salt. Sweet pinole seed cakes black + white chia seeds, popped amaranth seeds + covered in caramelized honey.
