Fabulous night of Indian music Feb. 15

An unusual and special evening of music and devotional poetry of great saints such as Kabir, Guru Nanak, Mirabai, Surdas & Tulsidas will be presented in the Hindustani
classical music tradition at International House Davis. Featuring vocalist Jayanti Sahasrabuddhe, she will be accompanied by a narrator and four classical musicians playing harmonium, flute, tabla, and manjira.
This fundraiser for International House and Sahaya International will take place on Saturday, Feb. 15, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. The music will begin at 7 p.m. and refreshments will be served during the intermission.
The suggested donation is $15 to $20 for adults, $10 for students but any donation will be warmly accepted.
“One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit programs at International House Davis and Sahaya International,” said Koen Von Rompay, founder of the nonprofit Sahaya, which helps many women, children and AIDS orphans in India.
