An art program for families will be held at International House Davis on Sunday, Feb. 24 from 2 to 5 p.m. It is a free program open to all ages.
The program is co-hosted by Senses Cultural of Sacramento and International House, 10 College Park, Davis.
Senses Cultural a nonprofit organization dedicating to creating a more peaceful and healthy environment and is presenting the “Art Healing Family Program” because all people have the ability to express themselves creatively through art and the outcome is less significant than the healing process that takes place.
“We dedicate this program to inspire families in sharing some fun and valuable experience together,” said Tata Monfared of Senses Cultural.
At the event two professional artists from the Bay Area will work with students of all ages in creating paintings using elements of Pop Art as a base. Seniors are particularly welcome, Monfared said.
If this free class is successful and community interest is high, Senses would like to offer a series of art healing classes to the community to fund its philanthropic projects.
