2:00 to 3:00 p.m. A creator and teller of tales for over 15 years, Vicki will be returning to the International House to tell tales from all over the globe. Her stories originate from Africa, South America, Great Britain and other points of interest around the world

Continuing this summer....yoga and writing
On Monday nights we'll have two back-to-back yoga classes and on Thursday we'll have a new writing class
Join Yoga on Monday nights
A yoga class for beginners will run on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. and then an intermediate class will take place at 7:30 p.m. The class, taught by Loshan Ostrava, will continue on Monday nights indefinitely. Free to I-House members, others pay $10 per class. Join the class now!
Storytelling: Acme Theatre - African Folktales, Sunday October 10, 2010
2:00 - 3:00 p.m. ―Wanyama: A Collection of Folktales. This collection consists of two traditional African folktales, "Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears" and "Anansi the Spider,’’ and an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's African- based story of "How the Camel got its Hump".
Storytelling: Denise Hoffner- Tales about the High Holy Days, Sunday, September 19, 2010
2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Denise Hoffner was the opening performer for the new season of the I-House Children's International Storytelling Program.
Membership drive for 2011-12. Join or renew now!
The annual membership drive is now underway so be sure to renew promptly if you have not already done so. Having all members renew at the beginning of the membership year (September 1 to August 31) greatly simplifies the record keeping. Please consider renewing at a higher level this year.
Video and podcast on international efforts to curb AIDS!
I-House board member and UCD virologist Dr. Koen Van Rompay has returned from the XVIII International AIDS Conference in Vienna. He was recently interviewed on Capital Radio where he talked about some of the highlights of the conference, the general mood of the event and the protest march that took place. Also posted is a video of the highlights. Thanks to Dr. Van Rompay for sharing this international event.
