The executive director is responsible for the leadership and management of the organization according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors.  Elisabeth has studied in England and Spain. She has recently traveled to several former Soviet republics including Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine. She is a long-time member of the Uman Davis Sister Cities Project. She also is a member of Sahaya International and has traveled to Southern India on two occasions. She is sponsoring a boy in India and a girl who is finishing nursing school in Chennai.  Elisabeth has lived in Davis for many years and is a former reporter for The Davis Enterprise. She also wrote a column on books and writers for The Enterprise for almost 20 years.

Some of the duties of the office manager include bookkeeping, facility rentals, assisting with the I-House website and newsletter, greeting the public by phone and in person, maintaining the office in terms of equipment and supplies, etc.  Deborah graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Chicano/a Studies and Spanish. She is very happy to be able to serve our global community.
