We had the first Italian language class (beginner level) at I-House on Thursday, July 1. About 20 people showed up for the class taught by Giovanni Circella, a Fulbright scholar at UC Davis. Students had various background in the language, with most participants having no previous knowledge of the language at all, and a few participants who already had a basic knowledge. Although the class is targeted for beginners, additional material will be made available every week for those students who have some basic
knowledge of the language and that want to carry out some extra work. The second class of
the course will be on Thursday, July 8, at 7 pm. Classes will go ahead
through the whole summer in the usual time slot between 7pm to 8:30pm on Thursdays.
Other I-House members and friends that want to join the course, are invited to do so, and can join the class.
