A great Juneteenth celebration takes place at the Davis Library on Sunday June 26th from 1-5 p.m. The address is 315 E. 14th St., Davis. It is sponsored by the Yolo County Library and Friends of The Davis Library in partnership with We People, The Culture C.O.-.O.P, BECA, The African American Committee, All Star Action Team. Everyone is bringing a dish and celebrating the emancipation of the slaves in Galveston, Texas, the last to hear of their freedom. This is a family event and free for everyone. We will have door prizes, vendors, and information tables also. Come on down!
