On Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m., storyteller Angela James from Sacramento will give a program titled “Knick-Knack Paddy Whack.” She will tell tales of Ireland with her own Caribbean flavor. She is part of the Fenix drumming and dance group, and a storyteller in her own right. She performed for I-House in 2007.
The storytelling events are underwritten by a grant from Target, which enables us to pay each storyteller a small stipend. Thank you, Target!
The storytelling programs usually take place on the third Sunday of the month and always begin at 2 p.m. Free for members! Others are asked to pay $2 per child or $5 for a family.
The next storytelling program will take place on Sunday, April 21 featuring “Instruments of the World,” by Catherine Mandela.
