More cooking classes coming up

International House Davis is continuing to offer cooking classes to the general public. I-House, located at 10 College Park, has a fully equipped kitchen that can provide a learning space for up to 10 people.
A new class being offered is the Persian Cooking class taking place on Thursday, March 15, at 5p.m. The following dishes will be taught during the class: Lima Bean Rice with Chicken, Persian Eggplant Dip, Yogurt and Cucumber Dip, and last but not least, rice pudding. The co-teachers are Shirin Karimi and Tayebeh Hossini.
The class members will prepare the meal then sit down and eat together.
The second is the return of a Chinese dumpling class that sold out quickly upon first offering. The repeat by Jenny Li will be offered on Saturday, March 24, from 1-3pm.
The class limit is 10 people maximum. A contribution of $10 per person is asked to cover expenses.
“There are only a few spaces left in each class so call right away,” said Elisabeth Sherwin, executive director. The number is (530) 753-5007.
“You do not need to be an I-House member to take a cooking class,” she added.
