International House is adding a new language class — beginning/intermediate French — to the 18 classes that take place here each week. Krystyna von Henneberg of Davis will begin on Thursday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Hagan Room.

“We are very lucky to have someone of Krystyna’s stature and enthusiasm,” said Elisabeth Sherwin, executive director. “Just to remind everyone — the first class is free, thereafter we ask participants to become I-House members.” It’s only $20 a year for a student or scholar to join I-House, $40 for an individual.

Krystyna speaks French, Italian, Spanish and English and is an Italian citizen. She is a historian and linguist who taught at UC Davis. She is a Davis resident and has two teen-age children. Please come and meet Krystyna.

She is a creative, cultivated Harvard and Berkeley-trained history Ph.D. with experience teaching and living abroad.
