"The Singing Revolution" is coming
Producer Jim Tusty is coming to Davis on Monday, July 28 to talk about his documentary about Estonia's peaceful road to re-independence. He will be at I-House from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Clips of the movie will be shown. The complete movie can be viewed at The Crest Theater on Friday, Aug. 1, 2008.
Davis resident Maria Ogrydziak is an Estonian-American and the chair of the U.S.-Baltic Foundation. "Documentary films like this are hard to get into theaters but so essential to understanding history and bringing it to life," she said.
This film has been show in more than 75 cities in the United States and Canada.
