Our international poetry night was a great success

Thanks goes to Krystyna von Henneberg, our newest I-House board member — the person who launched the poetry soirees and decided to have them seasonally. Last night, summer’s soiree, was perfect. There was a cooling breeze, white lights on the back patio, about 25-30 people and poems by Maya Angelou, Billy Collins and Alfred Noyes, among others. Poems were read in Latin, English, Spanish and Farsi. Wine and delicious little treats were served. Please join us next time.
As the great poet and writer Angelou said: “Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes the human voice to infuse them with deeper meaning.”
