Auction Items in 2008

Community members are encouraged to join us at our colorful and lively fundraiser on March 1, 2008. Bring your family and friends and bid to take home a number of attractive and unique auction items, mingle with people from the local and global communities, and enjoy delicious snacks and drinks. Admission is $10 per person. The following is a partial list of items; click on photos to zoom. We sincerely thank the generosity of the donors!

Girolle and Cheese Donated by: Bruce and Shirley German Description: Great minds of Switzerland have paired cheese and machine with this unique and clever cheese slicer. Tete de Moine (Monk's Head) cheese was invented 800+ years ago by the monks of the Bellelay Abbey. Scrape a thin layer from the top of the round to make the edges crinkle. This forms the cheese shaving into a rosette. This technique is said to bring out the flavor and aroma in a way ordinary slicing will not. Value: Priceless
