Auction Items for 2010! Check it out!

Community members are encouraged to join us at our colorful and lively fundraiser on Saturday, March 20, 2010. Bring your family and friends and bid to take home a number of attractive and unique auction items, mingle with people from the local and global communities, and enjoy delicious food and drinks. Admission is $20 per person for advanced RSVP and $25 at the door. The following is a partial list of items. We sincerely thank the generosity of the donors!

 

 

1. Jeroboam of wine.

In vino veritas?  Find out by drinking a giant bottle (Jeroboam) of wine from Bogle winery.

2. A visit for two to the CIA in St. Helena.

A look inside the sophisticated world of cuisine. Includes a cooking demonstration, gift  certificate at the Greystone store and dinner.

4. Two "Connections" Quilts, auctioned separately.

Two beautiful flowery quilts made by the very talented Jan Naguwa and Chris Shackel of the Wednesday morning “Connections” group that meets at I-House. The quilt pictured here is a special "BOGO" quilt, meaning that it is two quilts in one -- Stan Naguwa came up with the nickname of BOGO, for "Buy One, Get One." The second quilt, not pictured, is a special "Bee Good" quilt, a wall hanging not to be laundered.

5. Tahoe vacation condo.

Six days on Tahoe’s North Shore. Condo offers four bedrooms, two baths. A real treat to get out of the Valley heat or save this for a winter ski vacation. One of the auction's hottest items!

7. Verena's Blanket.

Some lucky person will go home with this extraordinary hand-woven blanket in blues, purples, and magentas. All the yarns are 100% wool. Approximate time spent to create: 23 hours.

Famed local photographer Ray Borton has donated this piece and more than a dozen other pieces to I-House.

An original monoprint made by Davis artist Chris Dewees.

15. Rominger West Winery.

A private wine tasting will be held at this exclusive Davis winery, 4602 Second St., for a party of up to 16 people.

16. Linoleum block print.

“The Fifth Essence” by Jeffrey Granett. This is a 2009 artist’s proof. Linoleum block prints are made using sheets of smooth linoleum similar to floor covering. The design is cut into the linoleum and then it is inked with a roller and printed.

17. Paper sculpture.

This California poppy is framed and ready to hang. Artist Marilyn Judson says she loves to cut white on white, forcing the observer to look closely at her work.
