Annual Conferences

Each year in the spring, an educational-cultural program focuses on a particular country or world region. In recent years, I-House has featured Horn of Africa (2004), the Caribbean (2005), China (2006), Brazil (2007), and Egypt (2008).

A Day in Egypt - 2008 Annual International Conference

On April 26, 2008 at noon, the International House of Davis will host 'A Day in Egypt', an annual educational and entertaining conference about a different country. You will be transported to a time many years ago to experience the ancient civilization. The International House will bring ancient and modern Egypt in Davis. The event will also feature a live band, a bazaar, a children's program, educational lectures and a live museum by groups of elementary school children. A drawing for a Nile cruise will also take place at the I-House. An Egyptian film series will kick off the event starting from Saturday, March 22.
