Storytelling: NewStar Chinese School, Sunday January 11, 2009
2:00 - 3:00 p.m., Children of the NewStar Chinese School in Davis will present a program focusing on Chinese culture, including dancing, singing, martial arts and storytelling. Students will demonstrate writing in Chinese characters.
The mission of NewStar Chinese School is to teach students Chinese language and culture through classroom instruction, special art, cultural events, and field trips. The School currently offers 13 classes and has an enrollment of 176 students.
Children's International Storytelling Programs, designed for children in the 5 to 10 year range (with accompanying adult), are held one Sunday afternoon per month (except in June, July and August) in the Community Room of the International House. Doors open at 1:45 pm.
The event is open to the public. There is no charge for I-House members. The suggested donation for non-members is $2 per person or $5 per family.
