The Children's International Storytelling Programs
Introduction to I-House's storytelling programs, with contact information.
Children's International Storytelling Programs
are held one Sunday afternoon per month (except in December, June, July
and August) in the Community Room of the International House, 10
College Park, Davis, from 2 to 3 pm. Doors open at 1:45. Each
performance features the talents of various performers from Davis and
the surrounding area. Every performance contains some form of
international content.
Performances may include drama, music, dance, puppetry as well as traditional storytelling.
The program is designed for elementary school
children in the 4 to 10 year range, but can be enjoyed by children of
all ages. All children need to be accompanied by an adult.
The 2011-2012 Children's International Storytelling Program is financially
supported by a grant from TARGET. International House is very grateful for their generous support. New Family Memberships and non-member donations at
the door also provide income for the program Family Memberships can be purchased at International House Monday
through Friday, from 9 am to 4:00 pm or at the Storytelling performances.
Memberships are
a major means of support for International House, contributing greatly
towards the number and variety of children's and other programs. With
membership, you will enjoy the benefits of:
- a monthly newsletter notifying you of all activities, programs and events sponsored by I-House;
- free admission to I-House Children's Storytelling programs
- free or discounted admission to other I-House sponsored events and classes;
- free language conversation classes;
- opportunities to form new friendships with Americans and people from around the world.
We hope that you will join us at all the Storytelling Performances
and will consider extending your involvement with I-House to
become a member. The families, schools, organizations and businesses
that support this program financially, and with their attendance and
publicity each year, are greatly appreciated.
