International Poetry Night at I-House on July 17
Poets are welcome to sign up in advance by contacting I-House volunteer Jennifer Hsieh. Come join us for a fun and culturally diverse night of poetry! This event is open to the public and refreshments will be provided.
Come to I-House for a free poetic experience on Saturday, July 17, 6 p.m.
Megha Bhatt will recite "The Blossom Never Knows" by Dilip Kumar Roy, a contemporary of Mahatma Gandhi, and she will read "What is Love?" by Paramahansa Yogananda.
Diana Arkans will bring a German poet's work, Theodor Storm's "Meeresstrand (Sea Beach)".
Fadhil Al-Kazily will read the poem "My Mother" in Arabic.
Yuki Murayama from Japan and Jennifer Hsieh originally from Taiwan will also present select pieces in Japanese and Mandarin.
This poetry reading is open to everyone! If you have poetry to share in another language, join us for an open-mic session, too.
