Global Family Festival series 2019-2020, Rhythms of the Earth

Rhythm and Soul Food Saturday for Kids:

Celebrating the African American Legacy – Saturday, January 11, 2:00 – 4:00 pm,

Community Room, Free and open to the public

The Global Family Festival series is a collaboration between International House Davis and the Peregrine School and is supported, in part, by the City of Davis Arts and Cultural Affairs program. The 2019-2020 festivals honor the rhythms of the earth and will take place on the second Saturdays of November, January, March, and May. The festivals are geared toward children aged 3 to 10 and all kids must be accompanied by an adult. Each two-hour program includes a cultural performance, yummy treats, and activities guided by experienced teachers.

January celebrates the African American Legacy and will feature storytelling, collage art, a Hip Hop performance by Afrominivibes, and delicious soul food to acknowledge Black History Month!

We hope you will join us at all Global Family Festival events and will consider extending your involvement with I-House to become a member. We greatly appreciate the City of Davis and the families, schools, organizations, and businesses that support this program financially and with their attendance and publicity each year.
