7th Season Premiere of Sunday(s) @ I-House Open Mic, Sunday, March 4, 7-9 pm

The evening opens with open mic, spotlighting guitarist, Michael Musial. “Kindred Spirits” returns as the featured act. This musical fundraising series is hosted by local producer and performer James Williams.

The 7th season of Sunday(s) @ I-House commences on March 4.  Doors open, and open-mic’ sign-up starts at 6:45pm.  Local performer and producer James Williams hosts the return of his musical fundraising series of open-mic’s, and featured performers.  The evening will begin with a li’l open-mic’; spotlighting guitarist, Michael Musial. Although a classically trained pianist, and piano technician by trade, Michael’s primary musical interest is playing guitar. His style is American Primitive, a genre pioneered by the guitarist John Fahey. He can be heard playing American Primitive covers, original arrangements of cover songs and a few original instrumentals as well.

The featured act for the evening is the return of Kindred Spirits, featuring this season’s soundman Gabe Lewin.  This Davis-based ensemble’s ambition is simply to have fun and make good music…no matter the genre. Their songs (many originals) embrace American folk, rock, blues, reggae, and more.  Gabe Lewin’s vocals, guitar, and harmonica blend well with other vocals by Lane Suarez; and Ted Fontaine, who also kicks in the bass.  Bob Lindley on Violin and e-mandolin rounds out the group, along with Richard Day on lead guitar; and Johnny Flores on percussion.
This evening of entertainment is an on-going fundraiser that continues to benefit I-House. Suggested donation for this event is $5 to $20. Though, no one will be turned away.  Beverages and snacks will also be available to purchase. Any size donations are appreciated.
Sunday(s) at I-House will continue on March 25, and on the first and last Sundays of April and May; the fun continues through June.  For more information: Call James Williams at: 916-541-8980; or email him:
