Storytelling takes place Sundays this spring at I-House

On Sunday, Feb. 17, former UC Davis English lecturer John Boe will be the featured storyteller at International House Davis.
“This is part of the Children’s International Storytelling program that I-House offers the Yolo County community,” said Elisabeth Sherwin, executive director.
International House Davis is located at 10 College Park in Davis. There is plenty of free parking. The program runs from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and is free to members. Others are asked to donate $2 per child or $5 for a family.
“Our storytellers tell tales for children from age 4 to 9 (accompanied by parents) and are always well received,” she added.
On St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, March 17, Angela James will present an all-Irish program called “Knick-Knack Paddy Whack.” She will tell stories and sing songs of Ireland drawing on her Caribbean-born storytelling background. Be sure to wear green!
On April 21, Catherine Mandella will present “Instruments of the World” also from 2 to 3 p.m. In May, former Davis poet laureate, Allegra Silberstein, will share poetry for children.
