Thanks again to Ann Gunion, we for the second year have received a $2,000 grant from Target for our monthly storytelling programs. This is great news, please thank Ann for her efforts! This means we will be able to pay our performers a small stipend and continue offering refreshments and look for new performers. It’s all good! If you would like to perform at one of the upcoming international storytelling events, contact Elisabeth Sherwin, executive director, International House Davis at (530) 753-5007. And we want to take this time to thank our student volunteer, Alana Barton, who comes to the monthly events on Sundays, opens up, welcomes the kids and their parents, and helps the performers. Many thanks, Alana!
Mark your calendars: Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, is Sara Woo and Friends and Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, is John Boe. Shows start at 2 p.m. and run for about 45 mins. and are free to members. Others pay $2 per child or $5 per family of any size. It’s a great time!
