Many thanks to Woodland Healthcare/Dignity Health and all the doctors and nurses who came out on Thursday, Feb. 20, to talk about cancer — how to avoid it and how to live with it. Dr. Sonia Reichert, Dr. Alborz Alali, Physician Assistant Michelle Ing and Nurse Navigator Jennifer Thietz made the evening informative and interesting to the more than 70 people who attended.
“International House wanted to offer this free forum to anyone in the community who had questions about cancer,” said Executive Director Elisabeth Sherwin. “We also wanted to offer a flu shot clinic but maybe that will happen in the future. We have frequently had international health programs at I-House and thought — correctly — that a local health program would be well attended.”
Thanks go to Rebecca Nguyen and Katie Curran of Woodland Healthcare/Dignity Health for their marketing assistance and delicious food!
