We hate losing great volunteers!

We have to say goodbye to Erika and Mira — but the good news is they got great jobs! Erika Mendoza Ponce is originally from Ecuador. She and her husband moved to Davis a few years ago to complete their educations at UC Davis. She began volunteering at I-House in September of this year. Erika was an outstanding asset to I-House, dedicating full weeks of effort to helping make the International Festival a success. After the Festival, she continued her commitment to I-House two days a week, and was invaluable support to the daily operations in the office. She’ll be missed at I-House.
Mira Rocha is originally from Croatia and is in Davis with her husband while he is at the university. She volunteered at I-House from October through November this year and was a tremendous asset during our busy mornings two days a week. She was a cheery and helpful presence and we wish her the best in her new employment.
