Join us for a informational medical forum on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, featuring local cancer physicians, medical assistants, and a local pharmacist. A reception will be held at I-House, 10 College Park, at 6 p.m. followed by a panel consisting of Dr. Sonia Reichert talking about complimentary medicine, Dr. Alborz Alali on fatigue and exercise, Physician Assistant Michelle Ing on stress relief, Jennifer Thietz on the role of oncology nurse navigators, all from Woodland Healthcare/Dignity Health, and Rami Saad of Rite Aid on the benefits of flu shots. Patients are warmly invited as are those seeking information.
“International House is committed to good health and health education in the United States and beyond,” said Elisabeth Sherwin, executive director. “Not only do we offer several yoga, meditation and dance classes per week, we have offered forums on AIDS research, safe sex, and international health programs. We also promote local breast and cervical cancer prevention classes through speakers from the California Health Collaborative and more.”
