We had a great Thanksgiving celebration here on Saturday, Nov. 23 with a traditional meal and many thankful thoughts expressed by guests and a large cadre of volunteers. Roast turkeys were provided by Bob Halferty, Liz McCapes, Karena Schmitendorf, Adrienne Martin, Mary Philip, Hamza El Nakhal, John Pike, Nathalie Minya,Eileen Leung and Elisabeth Sherwin. Mashed potatoes and gravy came courtesy of Ludy’s Main Street BBQ in Woodland, and green salad, rolls and butter came from UC Davis Dining Services. Vegetables were provided by International House and prepared by Susan Patton. Stuffing was made by Pam Sparks.
